Planned demo is already bigger than the whole of Phantasy Star IV

A leaked source today told me with confidence that the Pier Solar demo is already bigger than Phantasy Star IV.

Phantasy star IV is 24 megabit game, so that probably gives you some idea of just how much of the predicted 32 megabit cart has already been taken up.

The huge demo size is mainly due to the graphic and sound banks on the cartridge being completely populated.

Alot of this does not appear in the demo and will no doubt be replaced overtime.

At present no compression has been applied to the game meaning the size could shrink by a 1/3 or more later in development.
